Coming off of celebrating a birthday and feeling very grateful to have another year circling the sun.
This past year taught me quite a few lessons.
My biggest takeaway is do not take this life for granted (this is a repeat lesson) and celebrate what you can, when you can, all the time. It really is about the little tender moments.
A lunch date with a friend.
A card received in the mail.
A text on your phone that makes you feel like a million bucks.
A Facebook greeting that makes you warm inside.
A smile from a stranger.
A new connection with someone.
A random act of kindness given or received.
A great sunset or sunrise.
All the little things that make life sweeter.
This year, I made a jar where I collect these little moments on tags. When the year is over I am going to string them on a grateful tree.
It is so much fun to collect the moments of an entire year.
What are you grateful for today?
